Real Estate Development

Our office assists both domestic and international commercial developers, equity investors, sponsors and syndicators, as well as construction and permanent lenders involved in real estate development and start-up ventures. Mr. Feuerborn has personally handled business contracts, negotiations, and/or transactions valued in excess of $750,000,000 in the United States and Europe. As a Vice President of a self-storage development company, Mr. Feuerborn has a broad background in the real estate development industry including development agreements, land purchase contracts, sales of business, etc. and has worked with registered architects, licensed mortgage brokers, certified public accountants, urban planners and licensed real estate agents. He has been extensively involved in the acquisition, sales, permitting, and development and leasing of real estate projects throughout the United States.

Mr. Feuerborn has strong project management skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse team of stakeholders, while operating within timelines and budgets to ensure the timely competition of all aspects of the project, communicating and negotiating with multiple participants, and ultimately being a driving force of the team to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Mr. Feuerborn has represented and/or worked with companies that own, operate and/or manage self-storage facilities in the U.S. and internationally. Self-storage has been the fastest growing segment of the commercial real estate industry over the last 40 years. Whether purchasing existing facilities, converting existing buildings, or ground-up development, we have the team that understands the obstacles and issues that arise in the industry. We are always looking to expand into new markets and develop new business strategies that can capitalize on this expanding market. Our team also assists with the structuring, negotiation and financing of development projects across all asset classes, including residential, retail, office and mixed-use projects, and resort and recreational properties. We have broad-based experience with many types of projects and all phases of development—from acquisition, through planning, conversion, development, construction and use. We handle contract negotiation and documentation, due diligence review, construction-related work and land use entitlements, and acquisition, development and construction financing. We have extensive experience in liaising with public and private agencies, architects and engineers, professional managers, and general contractors.
